RENAISSANCE DAY RETREAT
A RENAISSANCE PRE-GAME FOR YOUR BODY + MIND + SOUL
TO SUPPORT BLACK PRIDE NOLA
Are y’all ready for the Queen Bey to descend upon New Orleans? The Haus of Glitter + Black Pride NOLA + Dream House Lounge are joining forces for a community wellness retreat to practice care, healing, restoration and ferocity together. Yes, there will be Beyonce runways…
1pm Oxygen Bar + Tea Time Meet N Greet
1:30pm Restorative Beyonce Yoga
2:30pm Break
3:15pm Intro: Vogue + Ballroom Dance Werkshop
When community gathers to practice breath + rest + dance together, it is a protest against the system that tells us our bodies are only valuable for producing profit. Breathe with us. Slay with us. Disrupt with us. The Renaissance is here, y’all.
ALL ARE WELCOME:
New to wellness // yoga // meditation // dance? Come! ALL BODIES ARE WELCOME - especially BIPOC + LGBTQ+ community. Come late. Leave early. Take a nap or journal in the corner and ignore our directions. This is a care-centered space to love our bodies. Judgement, hate, racism, misogyny, homophobia & transphobia will not be tolerated. Dress comfortably. NO ONE WILL BE TURNED AWAY DUE TO LACK OF FUNDS.
THIS IS A 50/50 FUNDRAISER:
50% of proceeds support the vital community wellness + advocacy work of Black Pride NOLA, one of the few Black Femme-led Pride Festivals in the country.
50% of proceeds support The Haus of Glitter’s activist campaign to transform the racist national monument dedicated to slavery ship commander, Esek Hopkins.

THE DREAM HOUSE LOUNGE + FOUNDATION
Is a Queer Black owned mental + spiritual community wellness lounge and cafe that offers tea, coffee, mocktails, oxygen therapy, and liberation-centered wellness programming. For Dream House Lounge + Foundation, it’s not enough to survive, we practice soul-care (e.g. meditation, yoga, mindfulness, alternative healing, community healing conversations) so that our future generations can thrive. We dream big and exercise imagination, in pursuit of peace, love, and liberation. Learn more at www.dhlounge.com @dhlounge
